The past few days I've been fishing down at the world famous Mosquito Lagoon for the IFA Redfish Tour Event (held today). My partner is Danny McCullough... Danny's grandfather is a good friend and client of mine and their whole family loves to fish. I don't think I've ever known someone that's more stoked to go fishing than Danny and that makes for a great tourney partner! The pre-fishing was tough the first few days because of high winds but yesterday we found a nice school of fish and today they were chewin! We finished in 7th place and put ourselves in a good position for the team of the year points race.
Danny caught this over slot red today during the tournament... what a beast!
Gibby came down on Wednesday and did some pre-fishing with me and caught this perfect slot fish on a Fishbites jerkbait and Slayer Inc. Penetrator hook...
If the weather shapes up the beach should be coming alive with Cobia, jacks, tarpon and more... stay tuned!
