St. Augustine Fishing Report July 29th...

What a beautiful day on the water today. This morning I had Rick, Tommy, and Jordan out on the boat. We started by tossing some top-waters to some shallow water reds. These reds were a little spooked due to an airboat buzzing the area so we switched to some live bait and Tommy got the first redfish to the boat on a live shrimp. We then moved to a little deeper water and caught a bunch of redfish including one MONSTER that Jordan caught using a live mud minnow on a Slayer Inc. jighead. We headed offshore to take a peek and found the ocean as flat as I've ever seen it... only problem was the fish were nowhere to be found so after looking around a bit we headed back inshore. We ended the day catching a few more nice redfish. Jordan and his Dad (Rick) were classic today... needling each other over every fish caught. They had a competition going all day and Jordan came out on top in the end... that was a blast guys!
