St. Augustine Fishing Report December 15th...

Wow what a day of fishing!... After being stuck inside for the last week or so (due to bad weather) It was great to finally be back on the water. It was chilly out there today but man were the fish fired up. When the water temps drop like they have that means that the redfish will be schooled up and ready to chew. Capt. Chris and I tossed the fly rod only today and caught over a dozen upper slot reds. The fish were so eager to bite that I caught one on just a bare Slayer Inc. jighead! The water is super clear now which allows you to see the fish before you cast to them and also allows you to watch them eat your bait... there is nothing more exciting in fishing. From now through the spring is some of the best and most exciting fishing St. Augustine and Palm Coast has to offer.
