St. Augustine / Palm Coast Fishing Report December 31st...
What a fantastic day of fishing in St. Augustine!... This morning I had Paul and Jim out for a 3/4 day charter. We started by tossing some paddle tails and caught a couple redfish right off the bat. At our next stop they got into some nice trout including some nice keepers and a few bluefish as well. We then got up into some super shallow water where we were able to sight-fish. We found a nice school of big redfish but after some great presentations they didn't eat... no to worry because a few minutes later Jim made a geat cast to a tailing red and it was game on! Jim's fish went 28" and was a pig. A short while later we came up on another school of reds but this time they were feeding and crashing mullet. Paul made the cast and hooked up instantly only to be broke off on an oyster bar. Next cast he hooked up again and landed a nice upper slot red. We finished the day with the guys catching quite a few more redfish. Excellent day of fishing guys!
