What a beautiful day on the water!.. This morning I had Brandon and Katie out for a half day of fishing in St. Augustine. We had somewhat of an early taste of Fall with a cool breeze that made it almost feel chilly. At our first stop they tossed top-water plugs in some super shallow water. They both had a few blow-ups but Brandon caught the only fish on top and it was a huge ladyfish that slammed the plug and then jumped around like crazy. As the tide got lower we moved to another shallow flat where the water was too dirty to see any reds moving around so we posted up with some bait and they started to chew. They ended up catching some really big upper slot redfish including a coupe double ups. Brandon even got one huge oversize fish! These fish were fired up putting up some drag screaming runs. Really fun day of fishing guys!
