St. Augustine / Palm Coast Fishing Report January 6th...

Another great day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had Nancy and Susan, two of my favorite people to have on the boat, out for a half day charter. You know the redfish get scared when they show up in town because they'll catch so many over the next couple months. We found some good schools of redfish up in the extreme shallow stuff today. Susan was first to hook up. It was a really nice redfish right at the top of the slot. Then even though they had their baits right in front of about 100 reds they just stopped biting. That was okay because at our next stop Nancy got another nice red and another smaller one right after that. They caught all their fish on Slayer Inc. jigs and Fishbites paddle tails. A nasty cold front/rain chased us off the water early but we still had a lot of fun. Looking forward to fishing with you ladies this winter!
