St. Augustine / Palm Coast Fishing Report May 6th...

Another fantastic day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had repeat client Jay along with Paul out for a half day charter. They started off by tossing top-water plugs at first light for redfish. There was quite a few reds around this AM but they just didn't want anything to do with the top-water plugs. We made a switch to some bait and the guys started to catch some nice fish including a double up. Jay had the big red of the day with a 28" fish. We made a move where we found a school of sharks up in super shallow water. After playing with the sharks for a bit we made another move where they caught some more slot redfish. Really fun day guys!

P.M. trip....

This afternoon I took a couple hours to run the beach with my buddy Gibby and we found a couple nice cobia that wanted to play. He got one on a Slayer Inc. paddle tail and I got one on the fly rod. Hopefully the cobia will show in better numbers over the next couple of weeks so we can get out there and catch some more!
