What a great day on the water in St. Augustine! Today I had Cary and Drew out for a day of fishing. Cary is a good friend of mine and his buddy Drew is the singer/guitarist for the band Sister Hazel. We saw a bunch of redfish today but they just didn't want to play so we moved to some deeper water and caught some really nice black drum. Cary also caught a few nice sized flounder on a live shrimp Slayer Inc. jighead combo. The highlight of the day was when we went offshore and Drew hooked into a huge tarpon (pictured above fighting the massive fish). This tarpon was one mean fish... he just wouldn't give up. We finally got him boat-side though and I would say it went at least 100+lbs! That was a fun day fellas.-Capt. Tommy
