St. Augustine Fishing Report February 25th...

Air temps in the 80's... mullet jumping out of the water... and redfish and drum chewing... You've got to love springtime fishing in St. Augustine! Today I had Jim and his grandson Dan out for a half of fishing. We started quickly with a double up on the first casts. A nice redfish and a black drum to start the day. They each caught quite a few more reds in our first stop using a shrimp pinned on a Slayer Inc. jighead. At our next stop we found a nice school of upper slot redfish. The wind was absolutely howling but they were still able to put some really nice upper slot reds in the boat. We finished the day with a few more redfish and Dan picked up a flounder a s well. Great day and great fishing!

I'll be in orlando the next two days for the start of the Bass Pro Shops Spring Fishing Classic. I'll be representing Fishbites and they'll be offering a buy two get one free bag of their Xtreme line of baits. If you're in the store come on by and say hello!
