Wow!.. What a great day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had repeat clients Matt and his son Jack out for a half day charter. We started the day by trying to hook into a tarpon. We found the tarpon as there was plenty of them rolling around the boat but we just couldn't get them to bite. We decided to move on and both Matt and Jack got a few nice sized redfish on small finger mullet. They also got a really nice trout. We then moved to our last stop of the day where Jack hooked into an absolute MONSTER of a redfish. This fish tore off drag multiple times and put up one heck of a fight. It weighed in at about 15lbs! One of the biggest redfish I've seen up in the extreme shallow water of our back-country. Way to go Jack!!!
