What an awesome day of fishing in St. Augustine! It was great to be back on the water today after having to cancel several trips due to the winds and weather that were associated with hurricane Sandy. This morning I had repeat clients John, Dan, and Ken on the boat... The weather was absolutely beautiful today and the fish were chewin! We stayed up in the extreme shallows with the guys tossing some top-water plugs at first light. They had some big reds chase and even hit their plugs but they were being a little shy at first. John then had a nice red slam his plug after nosing it a few times. We had a few more blow-ups and then switched it up to a soft plastic. They then got some big fish using the Fishbites paddle tails. A little later Dan got a MONSTER that weighed in at over 10lbs! Great day as always guys!
