It was a great afternoon on the water today... I had Bill and Steve out to look for some redfish. Steve had never caught a fish before. On his first cast of the day he landed a 26 3/4" monster redfish!... nice first fish Steve! A few minutes later Bill put a really nice 26" red in the boat. We caught some more big upper slot reds and then took a ride off the beach. We saw a few manta rays but with a thunderstorm approaching we decided to head back in. Nice catching guys!
Yesterday I had the day off and my good buddy Greer and I snuck off the beach to see what we could find. Funny enough we found some nice flounder on a near shore reef and Greer caught a monster sized bonita out there as well. We headed back to the beach and Greer found this monster jack to play with... holy jack!I'm looking forward to a busy next few weeks... the fishing should be awesome!!!
