Wow!!.. what a day! This morning I had Jayson, Chris, and Joe out for a day of fishing. The wind was absolutely calm this morning and the sunrise looked like a living painting... just perfect. We started by tossing top-water plugs for redfish up in the shallows. Joe got one nice upper slot redfish on the plug and we started to see a bunch of redfish literally swimming around the boat. When they didn't go for our top-waters we decided to switch to live mud minnows and we caught a few more nice redfish. Once the sun got up a bit we headed offshore to run the beach. We were greeted by a giant school of bonita and Jayson quickly hooked up only to have him come unbuttoned after a few drag screaming runs. Next we spot a monster manta ray in the distance and Joe hooks a nice cobia (sorry the pic didn't turn out for some reason). A little while later Chris hooked into a MONSTER cobia that put up one heck of a fight. Jayson ended the trip hooking another cobia and then we called it a day. Great day of fishing guys!
