Wow!!! What an absolutely awesome day on the water. Today I had David, his son Logan, and Brent out for a morning of fishing. We started off by tossing some top-water plugs at first light. Logan, who had never caught a redfish before, started by catching a huge upper slot redfish on a top-water. Way-to-go Logan! We caught a couple more smaller reds on top and then switched over to some live mud minnows. The redfish were really chewing today as we ended up with about 10 upper to over slot fish. We also caught a few nice trout and had a good sized flounder come off right at the boat. That was a fun day of fishing!
June 20th...
(We didn't take any pics this day) Today I had Quillian and John out for a full day of fishing. We started out tossing top-waters and caught one nice upper slot redfish before heading offshore to fish for flounder and cobia. That's right we went out about 12 miles to a reef and caught some really nice flounder on mud minnows. Once the sun got nice and high we came back in to the beach and caught 4 cobia using the mud minnows... you gotta love those little buggers. Great day of fishing guys!
