St. Augustine Fishing Report June 2nd & 3rd...

Today June 3rd- What a great day on the water! I had David and his son John as well as John's cousins Ciara and Logan on the boat this morning. We started out looking for some reds using live mud minnows on Slayer Inc. jigheads. Ciara caught the first redfish and then it was on!... they ended up each catching quite a few upper slot redfish. After talking with everyone while we were catching I got the feeling that, especially John, really wanted to go catch a shark... so off we went just off the beach and caught some fun drag screaming sharks. That was a great time watching you guys catch all those fish!

Yesterday June 2nd- Another perfect morning on the water!... I had Tim and his daughter Ashley on the boat this morning for some redfishing action. We started by tossing top-water lures and even though we could see the reds moving all around the boat they wouldn't touch the top-waters. We switched to some live mud minnows and it was game on. They each caught a few really nice upper slot reds in some super shallow water. We then moved to a deeper water spot once the tide got right and they caught some more really nice redfish. Good fishin guys! (My camera battery went dead this day so Tim took some pics with his camera and I'll put them up when he emails me.)

  1. Dear Capt. Tommy,
I had ton of fun yesterday! I couldn't believe it when I caught those huge Red Fish, because the largest fish I had ever caught before that was about the width of my hand. The sharks were a very awesome surprise that me and LOgan had been very excited about. Everybody else had a lot of fun too ( Ciarra is having a lot of fun trying to figure out how to spend her $100 ).
You were right. That Red Fish we had for dinner last night was AMAZING! It was the best fish I have ever had. Thanks for the great time, you were a really cool fishing guide.
