There's nothing like getting on the water at first light... especially when there's an amazing sunrise like there was this morning. The sunrise was awesome today and so was the fishing. I had Kenny and his bro-in-law Heinz out to hunt for some redfish. We started out with some mud minnows on Slayer Inc. jigs and caught some really nice upper slot reds. We switched it up to some top-waters up in the shallows and Kenny got a nice one to play. Heinz had a really good fish do his best flying fish impersonation on his top-water but he just never got a hook in him. We decided to switch it back up to the live bait and caught a few more nice slot reds. We then took a quick trip off the beach to look for some tarpon. We found the bait and a few sharks to play with but no tarpon today. I had a great time fishing with these guys today... it felt like I was out with a couple of old friends.-Capt. Tommy
