St. Augustine Fishing Report June 6th...

Another beautiful morning on the water!.. I had Kathy and Susie join me on the water today to look for some redfish. We started off tossing some top-water lures and caught a few nice redfish. Once the sun got up a little we switched to live mud minnows and really started catching 'em. Both Kathy and Susie ended the day with 7 nice reds each (14 total). Most of the fish were upper slot fish with the two biggest being about 6-7lbs. I had a blast watching you guys catch all those fish!

This afternoon I took my wife and my sister and bother in law out to take a ride off the beach. We drove by a shrimp boat and saw a few small dead fish (from their by-catch) floating around and stopped to see if anything would come up to feed on them. Sure enough a HUGE 100+lb blacktip shark comes up so we scooped up one of the dead fish and tossed it out and FISH ON! The pics don't do this fish justice. Jeremy fought this bad boy for about an hour and finally got him up to the boat for a quick pic. His arms will be sore tonight.
