Another great day on the beautiful waters of St. Augustine!... Today I had Jon out for a morning of fishing. Jon had never caught a redfish on a top-water plug so we started out tossing the Heddon Super Spook Jr.. The fish seemed to be sleeping in a little but after we worked down the bank a bit Jon got two redfish on the top-water plug... one small one and one nice slot fish. We started seeing a bunch of reds cruising around the boat and they wouldn't take the top-water so we switched up to some live shrimp and hooked/caught several more upper slot redfish. We made a move to some deeper water to look for some trout and instead ended up catching about 4 or 5 flounder on mud minnows. Fun day for sure!
