St. Augustine / Palm Coast Fishing Report May 31st...

What an epic day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had Matt, Adam, and John out for a 3/4 day charter. Things started off a little slow with only a small trout and a couple other blow-ups on the topwater plugs they were tossing. The wind was howling today and switching it up to some live bait made all the difference!.. the bite turned on big time! The guys took turns (including quite a few double ups) for at least a few hours catching a ton of slot to overslot redfish... I lost count! In between the redfish they were also catching some nice black drum and a couple trout as well. All the fish were really putting up some great drag screaming fights today. Later in the trip we got on a big school of jacks and they double and even tripled up quite a few times on the feisty fish. We finished the day with each of the guys catching a big bonnet head shark. On the light tackle they were using the sharks made for a great battle. Really fun day fellas!
