St. Augustine "Flood" tide Fishing Report September 8th...

What an awesome day on the water! Today I took my good buddy Gibby out for a day of fishing the flats on the "Flood" tide. When the moon is just right this time of year we get some really extra high, high tides. The redfish get up in the super shallow grass and then tail away making for some of the most exciting sightfishing around. Today we caught some really nice"tailers". The rig and bait of choice was a Slayer Inc. weedless hook and a Fishbites paddle tail in watermelon. I also tossed the fly rod for a little while today and hooked up twice only to be broken off in the grass. Can't wait for the rest of the week!
