I had the day off today and one of my good buddies, DJ, was in town after being on deployment with the Navy for over 6 months. Along with my other buddy Gibby we decided since the ocean was fairly calm we would head offshore. We did some bottom fishing and I got one big (17lb.) red snapper and we all got broke off on some big fish a few times. On the way in we made a quick stop and DJ hooked up to a drag screaming bonita... it's a trophy fish ya know!... It was all good times with some really good friends!
