St. Augustine Fishing Report June 25th...

Another great day of fishing in St. Augustine!.. This morning I had Greg and his son Jackson out for a half day charter. We started up in the shallows tossing top-water plugs for some redfish. Jackson hooked into a nice one and had him boat side only to have the hook pull. We had a few more blow-ups but we decided to head for the beach to look for something a little bigger. We found the bait and found some big tarpon crashing the bait. We never did hook into a tarpon but they did catch some drag screaming sharks and Jackson hooked the biggest ray I've ever seen. We finished the day back inshore where Jackson got a big upper slot redfish. Great day guys!

Yesterday I had John and Dan out for a half day trip... the fishing was a little slow as the tarpon weren't cooperating but John did manage something I'd never seen before... a bonnet head shark on a top-water plug. It put up one heck of a fight too!
